Emily Hadland

Emily Hadland received her B.A. in 2002 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. In 2006 she studied in Florence, Italy and received a post-baccalaureate certificate. Most recently Emily has been awarded an M.F.A. degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. All of her studies have primarily been with an emphasis on sculpture, but she does not limit herself to object making alone. Currently her work includes performance, photographs, and video. Her work reflects ideas of the body as a tool that enhances experience, along with the mind as an instrument of escape from bodily constraints.
